Corteva worked with Mesh Systems to develop the ActiveSense® Monitoring System, an electronic remote monitoring platform that allows building operators and their pest management service providers to monitor urban and commercial pests 24/7 from anywhere.

Corteva Agriscience™, a global agricultural company, emerged from the Dow/DuPont merger and is an industry leader in categories such as crop protection and seeds. Recognizing the need for a more efficient urban pest management solution, Corteva combined the strengths of Pioneer, DuPont Crop Protection and Dow AgroSciences to harness the industries brightest minds and expertise gained over two centuries of scientific achievement.
Corteva aimed to provide its urban pest management partners with a state-of-the-art solution. The challenge was twofold:
- Eliminate the labor-intensive process of manual checks of pest traps in large venues like stadiums, universities, and food production facilities.
- Offer a connected SaaS solution that could remotely detect and report pest activity, enhancing efficiency and user experience for Pest Management Professionals (PMPs).

The power behind the ActiveSense® system is a small, wireless pest sensor with patented infrared technology, co-invented by Mesh Systems, which powers the full solution including hardware, connectivity, and cloud software. This solution enables Corteva to offer insight dashboards, conditional alerting, and in-depth analytics for PMPs.
