This week, global Internet of Things solutions innovator, Mesh Systems, officially cut tape on its newest North American office, a continuation of its expansions from 2020.
The office, coined the “Mesh Systems IoT Innovation Center”, will serve as the company’s incubator of new technologies spanning wireless connectivity to device engineering and cloud implementation. Located in Appleton, WI, the IoT Innovation Center also allows Mesh Systems to continue its company-wide expansion initiatives as the company ended 2020 reporting a 45% increase in revenue over 2019.
IoT is a business revolution that has been brought about by incremental advances in technology. The world is surrounded by Internet-connected devices in the form of tablets, smartphones, and laptops, but IoT is about connecting the plethora of other things to the internet and that is where Mesh Systems has been helping enterprise companies since its inception over 15 years ago.
In the company’s history, it’s connected a range of ‘things’ including espresso machines, beer tap handles, outdoor light fixtures, retail point of sale scanners, and industrial machinery. By extracting key information from these devices, companies can better understand their customers, increase the safety and sustainability of their products, and fundamentally reinvent their business models. IoT is growing fast and is expected to be a $500 billion industry by 2023, according to a Microsoft Signals report.

The IoT Innovation Center will host Mesh Systems’ embedded and device development team as well as the majority of the program management functions. The Center, coupled with the experts that make up the development teams, will allow the company to accelerate the delivery of proof-of-concept and pilot IoT devices and related programs with the intent of scaling to very large commercial deployments.
