From early breakthroughs in remote monitoring to award-winning connected products, our journey has been fueled by innovation, collaboration, and a relentless drive to push boundaries.
2005
Development of MeshVista & Early Commercialization
Mesh Systems launched its first technology platform, MeshVista, marking the start of its journey in bringing smart, connected solutions to market. One of its early innovations was a system for remotely monitoring termite stations, helping businesses track pest activity more efficiently. The company also developed a solution for monitoring wastewater systems and tested a smart energy management system for commercial HVAC equipment. These early projects set the foundation for Mesh Systems’ expertise in building connected products that improve efficiency and reliability.
2009
Expansion to Wisconsin & HQ Office Expansion
In January 2011, Mesh Systems rented its first office space in Greenville, WI, marking its expansion outside Indiana. At the same time, the company moved its headquarters from Indianapolis to Carmel, IN, reflecting its growing presence in the Midwest.
2012

Mesh Systems Founded
Mesh Systems was founded in April 2005 by Richard Baxter, Uriel Kluk, and Doug Brune to integrate connectivity and software-based intelligence into everyday objects, focusing on commercial and industrial applications.
Mesh Systems made its first public appearance at Sensors Expo in Chicago in June 2005 and secured its first customer, Dow AgroSciences, to develop a wireless sensor network for termite detection. The first office in Indiana was established inside the Indianapolis Business Bank.
2006-2008
Microsoft Partnership & Azure Migration
Mesh Systems became an established Microsoft Partner and worked closely with Microsoft to develop cloud-native data middleware, a precursor to Azure IoT Hub. It was among the first companies to build an IoT application on Azure during its Private Preview phase. Mesh also partnered with WLS Lighting Systems to create an innovative lighting control application, which remains in use today.
2010
Anheuser-Busch InBev Interactive Beer Tap
Mesh Systems partnered with Anheuser-Busch and Sprint to develop interactive beer tap handles that enhanced consumer engagement during live sports events. Initially deployed in 100 bars and restaurants, the project later expanded to over 12,000 venues nationwide. To support this large-scale rollout, Mesh Systems rented a warehouse space in fall 2014, where part-time workers assembled the tap handles.
